Nap time...

Generally we call it Quiet Time, but I have a feeling after all the crazy sleeping that Thanksgiving provided we will be having nap time for the next few days. Today I put Zach down and he decided he would scream and cry for about the first 20 minutes of being in there. I finally went up to see what was wrong and of course it was nothing other than him being a three year old. When I got in there he asked me to lay down with him. Generally this is NOT ever something I would do, but I was sick of the crying and I figured it would help him to fall asleep faster. I laid down next to him and he had his elbow rested on my arm. I knew that if I was going to make it out of there after he fell asleep, this position wouldn't work, so I readjusted myself. The he decided since he was no longer touching me that he would grab a hold of my sleeve. With out looking like was trying to remove myself from his grip I rolled to my side and scooted over a little. He then followed me and grabbed the back of my shirt. I guess he was on to me and was doing what he could to make sure I wouldn't leave. You'd think I escaped from him all the time or something. He eventually loosened his grip because he finally fell asleep when I tried to get up the first time his eyes flew open so I stayed down and closed my eyes again. When I finally decided I would make my escape his eyes flew open again and I told him I would be right back. Luckily he fell fast asleep and didn't wait for my return. I thought the whole holding tight to my shirt was pretty funny though!
