I've been wanting to post for a couple of days now, but I unfortunately don't have all the time in the world to post a new blog as often as I would like. Plus there ain't a heck of a lot going on around here, but Zach is never short of new comments so I figure for all of your laughing pleasure I would share some of his latest quips. At least the ones I can remember!
Brandon is laying on the floor getting his diaper changed and Zach comes over and says, "Mom, is this the new doggie you brought home for me from the pet shop?!?" Being a little on the tired side I didn't find much humor in it at the time, but Tyler thought it was hilarious when I shared it with him later. I probably should've just said yes it is, but I wasn't sure if Zach would put a leash on him or not so I said, "No, this is your little brother."
For some reason Zach has a hard time remembering to flush the toilet. It probably is my fault because when I was training him to pee in the toilet I probably always flushed for him and when we are out they either flush automatically or I'm like no don't touch it I'll flush it for you. Anyways, we've been working on this remember to flush the toilet thing for months now and I'm finally fed up with it because I don't go into his bathroom as often as I used to and he has stained the toilet (luckily it wiped off, but I fear it becoming permanent.) I warned him yesterday that if he forgot to flush the toilet again I was going to take away one of his toys. Well, he lost a toy and he's been trying everything to get it back today. I didn't think one flush was good enough, I wanted this to make a lasting impact so that he would become a regular flusher. He then decided to tell me that he's afraid that if he flushes too much that he'll break the toilet and then we'll have to buy him a new one. Which he didn't seem to mind because he told me that I could buy him a space toilet, but in all reality he was hoping that the idea of breaking the toilet from over flushing would be bad enough for me to say it's okay, you don't have to flush the toilet.
Can we say needs attention?!? Today for quiet time Zachary enjoyed his endless procrastination routine by adding something new for me. He had gone to the bathroom and needed me to wipe his hiney (which is HUGE compared to Brandon's) then after I sent him back to his room and I went downstairs he's calling to me, "Mom, I can't shut my door. Something is in the way!" Me being ready for him to just get in his room I run back up the stairs and can't help but laugh because he has his arm sticking out the door. Of course he can't close it, his arm is in the way!
Even though I'm sleep deprived and don't have as much patience as I generally do, I'm glad that Zach still can keep me laughing. Hopefully at least one of these made you laugh too.

Those all made me laugh. It was so fun to see you guys this weekend. Too bad our visits are so few and far between. Good luck on the big clean coming up. Too bad the quiet time with no children only motivated me to veg and enjoy it so my house is still dirty!!
He just gets funnier. Oh sleep deprivation, so not fun! I hope he'll start sleeping through the night soon :) Azure has decided that she likes to wake up again at least once during the night :( This behavior doesn't get me excited to try for #2!
Swimming with Zach today I noticed his right arm was barely attached to his torso. I'm grateful that it was still functioning. I guess that's why he refused the floaties.
The little doggie story is too funny. He is so creative and so enjoyable to listen to. Knowing Zach, I do think you exercised sound judgment to not agree that Brandon was a little doggie from the pet store because I can assure you Zach would have had me buy him that darn dog leash to place on poor Brandon.
Ha! I loved your words, "Needs attention!" poor guy. Poor mom! But wow, a space toilet? Wouldn't the poop float out because of zero gravity? I bet he really likes watching Buzz Lightyear.
I agree w/Dee about the #2 kid. I can barely handle one child. As my sister said (who has 4 hyperactive kids), you develop new mommy skills with each child. I hope that is the case, that my capacity to love and care for another baby increases!
That is awesome!!! Zach is a funny kid!!! I like his arm in the door, I think that ws my favorite!!!
