Without stating the obvious it has been a while since I have posted. I will try not to leave anything out as you can see from the date I made an attempt to post on Friday, but our dinosaur of a computer froze up again and so I gave up. I'm finally determined to at least post something because I feel that it would be so unfriendly of me to not. So even though I should be folding laundry, picking up my living room, sweeping my kitchen, finishing putting groceries away and a million and one other things that always keep me occupied and away from the computer KARIN this is for you...

For Zachary's birthday we had a space themed party. It was exactly what he wanted and although it was very fast paced it seemed to go very smoothly with help from some of my relatives. At the beginning we decorated Frisbees and called them flying saucers. The kids who finished first tossed theirs around in the yard for a while.

This is my adorable niece Emma posing with hers.

After that the kids landed on the moon and got to search for moon rocks which were little toys covered in foil.

Then we had cake and ice cream. I was very excited as was Zachary about the moon cake I made for him. It has the lunar rover, two astronauts, the flag and the Eagle which is the lunar lander. I put the space shuttle beside the cake for Zach's sake, but I couldn't bring myself to put it on the cake although that's all he could take about months ahead because the shuttle never landed nor ever could land on the moon. Come on people we gotta make this thing accurate!

They also through a ball at a "black hole" but I took most of the pictures and since I head up that game I didn't get any pictures of it. Next we have Zachary posing with his space shuttle pinata. All year he has talked about having a pinata at his birthday party and luckily I found one that fit the party. As one of my friends in college always pointed out about my clothes I had to have everything matching (I guess it's because I'm preppy as she said) it goes the same for everything else in life.
The kids had a blast whacking at it. I love the face on my nephew Davis here. That shuttle doesn't know what's coming! Thanks to him all the children were able to enjoy the candy that fell from it!
Lots has happened from then til now. Hopefully I can sit down again soon and fill the rest of you in on my life. Brandon requires a lot of holding as you know, but today he slept for 2 hours on his own in his crib no less. I tried the swaddling thing and it worked. I actually had a blanket he couldn't kick out of, but I also ordered the miracle blanket so as soon as that arrives we should hopefully have many more peaceful naps and night times with Brandon in his crib!! Yea!!!

I love that birthday cake! It even has CRATERS! Zach is lucky to have such a creative mom as yourself!
What's a miracle blanket? Is that one of those wrappie burrito-style things? So B really won't sleep more than 2 hours? Wow. You really have your hands full!!!
ok, so I;m back you probably hate me all over again since now it has taken me 3 days to comment since you called me. What I have already written and I WILL write it again is... You are a great mom for doing such an awesome party!!! You can come and do my girls parties cause as of now they are just getting cake and ice cream and presents, no frisbees, no pinata(?), no firends (except Jensen). I really don't remember what else I wrote so this will do and I will go and comment on the new blog.
