Don't get used to this...

I wanted to get one more post in before I went out of town. (I'm going to Dallas to see family and I have a new nephew being born on Wednesday!!) Of course more Brandon. He is really cute if I do say so myself. And he is a very smiley, happy baby. I hope this is a good indicator of things to come. So far he has been very easy besides the constant need to be held. YIKES! Hence the purchase of the Miracle Blanket. Forgive me for no hyperlinks look it up yourself if you are interested. I always knew that at 3 months I really wanted Brandon out of our family bed. We have been co-sleeping and we will continue it a while longer, but hopefully at 3 months I can get him to sleep at night in his own crib. He has been sleeping through the night (minus waking twice for feedings) since he came home. (Give or take 5 total nights that he has been awake when I really wanted to sleep.) I think because I HAD to sleep at night because of Zach this forced Brandon to learn to sleep at night too. It was much easier the second time for me. Plus he does go two 4-5 hour increments now between feedings from 9 or 10 to the morning. I have been very lucky. He does go about every 2 hours during the day which is fine. And for the most part the only time he cries is if he is hungry or if I have left him by himself for too long awake or asleep...until now. He is doing very well taking afternoon naps in his crib all swaddled up. It is the best. That is where he is right now and aren't you lucky that I choose to blog instead of finish packing, cleaning, and folding. My goal is for him to nap in his crib for a few weeks and then I'll transition him there for night time. With the whole night feedings I like having him in my bed, but I don't want him to get too used to it which is why I'm kicking him out and I'll just have to drag my butt down the hall to feed him in the middle of the night! I love him to death and I love cuddling with my snuggle bunny, but I've had enough of holding him ALL DAY long and I'm ready to have some kind of life back. Oh and for those who were wondering NO he doesn't really sleep in his swing (occasionally we will luck out) nor does he stay asleep for more than 10 mins in his car seat unless he is in continuous motion. So, I thought I would post some pics of my (yes Anne it is burrito style) little papoose as I like to call him and upon first wrapping him up Zach asked, "is he in his 'raccoon'?" Cocoon I asked? Yeah, his cocoon. So, here's our little Caterpillar turning into a beautiful butterfly (Although moth's are in cocoons and Butterfly's are in chrysalis's.)

Being cute.

Oh my gosh! He is so dang cute! We bought Azure a special swaddling blanket and we loved it! She would only sleep thru the night if she was swaddled. We stopped swaddlind around 7 months. I'm glad it's been easier for you the 2nd time around, that gives me hope!

He is so cute, I like the cacoon thing, I kind feel bad for him in there. Are you sure his eyeballs won't pop out of his head?!?!?!?
