Preface: We had been sitting at the table for a while and Tyler and I were just about done eating. Zachary still had his whole plate of mashed potatoes and was only half way done with his roll. He normally eats at least half the potatoes I give him and for sure the whole roll.
Zachary: Can I go watch T.V.?
Mom: No, you need to finish eating your dinner, then we will go take a bath.
Tyler: Yeah Bud, you have a whole plate of mashed potatoes and you haven't even touched them yet.
Zachary: (he sticks out his pointer finger and proceeds to go for his mashed potatoes) TOUCHED! I touched it, Dadda!
Tyler turns his head trying not to let Zachary see him laughing as to not egg him on. Mom however is bellowing in laughter due to Zach's sincerity of touching his potatoes and not understanding the figurative speech.
Looks like we have a smart alec in our midst!

Way to go Zach. I wasn't even there and I'm dying laughing. You sweet thing.
Love, Grandma
