Yee Haw

We headed off to the Houston Live Stock Show last Friday. We had lots of fun seeing all the animals. I didn't do a very good job of taking their pictures, but I guess we did spend more time on the rides. The boys enjoyed both, the rides and the animals. One guy let them pet his bull.

The animals were beautiful...obviously because they were cleaned and groomed for showing!

The kids rode lots and lots of rides...

As I predicted Zachary was back on the bench.

Grandma tried to start him out on a horse, but after about 2 rounds I hear a child cry and of course I recognized that cry. Next thing I see is Grandma gracefully trying to make her way to the bench from the horse. Luckily they weren't very far! Yes, that's Jaeden on the horse next to them. They probably rode the carousel 5 times. (Grandma had bought a book of tickets to spoil the boys!)

This is us on the Genie ride. Most of the attendants tried to remind us that these rides were for kids, but I didn't feel comfortable letting Zach ride by himself. They only charged us for one person and I still fit. I told one guy that I still was a kid. Who did he think he was talking too?!?

Zachary driving his 4 x 4!

Okay, deep breath everyone...

Yes, this is Zachary and Jaeden flying solo. They had airplanes and helicopters on this ride and the itty bitty's were only allowed in the enclosed helicopters. Of course Mommy wouldn't fit. I was worried how Zachary would react to me not being there and of course he was just fine. I know I'm the one that has more anxiety issues than he does. I was so nervous and worried about him being by himself I didn't know if I was gonna pass out or throw up. I'm surprised I didn't start crying from the stress. Of course Jessica's standing by the fence waving and smiling every time they flew around. I don't know how she handled it since Jaeden is over a year younger. I had to sit on the bench, smiling and waving so that Zach wouldn't see my fear. Of course I was panicking each time he couldn't see me, well I couldn't see him. Of course they came out unscathed. The lady had let every child out before getting to them so I ran in the exit to help them out. I was afraid they would try to jump out or something. It's okay we can all say it together, I'm an over protective freak! The boys were ready to ride again so the next time when the ride was over the lady helped them out first and just handed them over the gate. She was probably thinking, who knows what this crazy mom is gonna do?!?

We also got to watch some pig races. The prize for the winner is an Oreo cookie. Who would've thought?!?

That's exactly why I ran to the traversing side of the fence. I didn't want the lady to know who my daughter was. Regardless, I surely had a wonderful time. Thanks for letting me share fun with your little fellow.

And furthermore, about the pig races, I was just about ready to run in the race with them for that kind of prize.....an oreo cookie.
