Toys 'r' us
Today, Zachary and I made a trip to Toys'r'us to spend the $3 gift he received from them for his birthday. (The whole birthday club thing.) He loves this store more than anything, but had learned after a while that when we passed it he might as well not make a comment because mom was not gonna stop. I'm sure I will be hearing about the BIG toy store when we pass it the next time! But the day was fun none the less and of course they profited off of the free $3 they gave me! Lately, Zachary has enjoyed roll playing and today he told me that he was Davis. I of course always ask who I am if he is someone else and today he deemed me Jackie. When it was time to get out of the car I said, "OK, Davis let's go!" I thought the best part was that the majority of the time we were in the store he referred to me as Aunt Jackie. I was definitely laughing the first time he called me that. Of course he's too young to realize that if he were Davis and I were Jackie, he would still be calling me mommy! A couple of times I was called mommy Aunt Jackie only because he was correcting himself. I didn't mind being Aunt Jackie though! The next funny part of the trip in Toys'r'us (and we were seriously only there for maybe 30 minutes, but a lot of stuff happened) he saw a dinosaur crammed between some random stuff and he asked if he could get it. I told him no that he couldn't get it, but that he could hold it and look at it for a while. He proceeds to look at the tag and tells me, "It says that it is 20 bucks and that we can't take it home today." I reply, "Is that what it says?" "Yeah, that's what it says." "Oh, okay, I guess we can't take it home then." Everything in the world is 20 bucks to Zachary. It's not the first time I've heard him tell me that "it's 20 bucks". You'd think I bought a lot of things that cost 20 bucks, but most of things I buy are less than that. Later we made our way back to the train area, (yes I did say back as in we had already been there, it was the only way I could convince him to leave the first time by telling him that we would return to this part of the store before we left) he enjoyed looking at all of the trains. One of course was 20 bucks which amazingly he was spot on. But the best part was when he was looking at this one train and shouted out, "This is spiderific cool!!" Don't ask me where he learned the term spiderific!?!? I guess the train vaguely reminded him of spider man which made the train spiderific? Go figure, but as soon as I heard him say it I thought I've gotta blog this day! And it all happened in a span of 30 minutes. We must have had a pretty boring morning. That should've been evident at the post office when he was using me as a may pole. Sticking his hands in my cargo pockets and spinning around my legs. I about thought I was gonna loose my pants and everyone in there was gonna get show without even buying tickets! I would've charged them on the way out!

You're spiderific cool for posting this!
I will have to read this to Davis and Wilson when they wake up tomorrow. In a couple of years, Zach will be doing Davis' math and figuring out how many times he needs to unload the dishwasher to buy that train or dinosaur that is 20 bucks. Thanks for sharing this! I will have to incorporate spiderific into my daily vocabulary. Love, Jackie
