We're back

All right, the blog hiatus was nice. I enjoyed not having to stress about coming up with something to write, whether or not it was grammatically correct and if it was interesting enough for all to read! This is our latest funny story. We began potty training full force a week and a half ago. And Zach still isn't a master pottier yet, but he is working on it and I'm sure we will have reached our goal sooner than later. That's all that matters right? We got rid of all the diapers and he wears training underwear covered by plastic pants as we call them. They are those vinyl diaper covers. It helps from making a bigger mess than necessary. In the first days of having gotten rid of diapers Zach's cousins Ethan and Emily were in town. The day they were heading back home Ethan decided he needed to go potty before they left. I had noticed that Zach was missing for a while so I thought I should go in and check on him. As I enter the house I hear Ethan shouting, "No, right here, come closer, right here!" As I make my way into the bathroom Zach's standing about a foot away from the toilet with his underwear and shorts pulled far enough down that he could do his business. Ethan of course was telling him to stand closer to the toilet because he knew what would happen if Zach peed where he was standing. It would go all over Grandma's rug. Lucky for Grandma Zach's underwear were fairly wet, which means he really didn't need to go to the bathroom anymore. All in all it was hilarious and Ethan was so proud that he had helped Zach pull his shorts down. Which I can see why he was so proud...wet underwear are not easy to pull off! They were like two stooges in there and it's a story I will never forget. Boys will be boys and Zach triumphantly peed standing up later that night when we got home. He's barely tall enough to do that so we keep him sitting for now! Hopefully I don't have too many more stories to share about our adventures in potty training!
