Unprepared

(I'm doing this one handed in an attempt to multi-task. I'm currently nursing Brandon at the same time.)

This morning was Brandon and my first adventure out of the house since coming home from the hospital. We got to go to his first doctor's visit. I left the house thinking I had everything I needed. Child, check. Wallet and phone, check. Papers from hospital for doctor, check. On the way to the doctor I realized that I didn't have my licence or insurance card because I had given them to Tyler in case I needed them at the hospital. Luckily they were okay with using Zach's card since their fax machine was down. Then while checking in I realized that I didn't even bring a diaper bag. I even had packed one more than a week before Brandon was born just for fun. I laughed at myself because this is my second child. Ive just been so used to my small purse that only holds my phone and wallet that it was habit to not have a big bag. I guess I better start making a habit of bringing the diaper bag again!!!

Julie,
You are your mother's daughter without doubt. Wait until you are going to drop the kid off, pass the day care and head off to where you are going.
Cute morning.

I love this story. It's all about the scatterbrain mommy syndrome. Well, I can relate because there have been several times (yes, multiple) I have forgotten the diaper bag on excursions or errands (and this wasn't even when he was a newborn.) I had to make a detour to the closest drugstore and buy supplies there, and change him in the bathroom. I'm sure you get set in your way with one child, that a new baby is like learning all that stuff all over again!

Way to multitask!!! Could you imagine if men had to nurse....... they wouldn't do anything but sit there and nurse, a women, different story. We see that as a time to sit down and do somthing that we have meaning to do hat required sitting down, but since we never have time to do that we do it while nursing. Way t ogo MOM!!!!
