Let's talk about Zach...

So, we got a new TV so that we could have a TV in our bedroom. Don't ask, but it is necessary to the story. I am gleefully enjoying having a TV upstairs and I positioned the rocker in front of it so that I can rock Brandon and watch what ever I choose while Zach is watching one of his movies. After watching a show yesterday I had come downstairs without turning it off. A little while later Zach hears it on upstairs and says to me, "You left the TV on upstairs and if I catch you doing that again I'm gonna take one of your things away!" After first laughing I asked him which of my things he was going to take, but he didn't have an answer for me. Also, I've never punished him for leaving the TV on so I don't know why he felt that I should be. Also note that he said this on the first day the TV was even up there!
Well, now for the not so great I now have a TV in my bedroom with a rocking chair in front of it story. We were having some quiet time so that I could rock Brandon to sleep and instead of laying him down I decided to hold him...I've been laying him down a lot the last few days so that he can learn to sleep on his own...The quiet time however became a little too quiet so I go to check on Zach. I hear noise coming from his bathroom and I look to see him standing there in his shirt and socks only. Upon noticing me he throws out his hand as to say stop while telling me "No, I'm cleaning it up!" I know his no meant don't get mad at me for the mess I created. Looking a little closer I see there is poop down his legs and on his socks. Yes, at this point I'm thinking oh great do I dare look into the bathroom. Yes I did look and found the exact same thing that had smeared down his little leg all over. Okay not all over, it was more concentrated and smeared by his cleaning efforts in one spot on the white rug that sits in front of the toilet and a little scattered in other places too. I couldn't get mad at him because you could tell that he tried to make it to the toilet and as he told me it all came out as soon as he pulled his pants down. It is hard when the toilet is a little higher than your bum. And so my quiet time ended with a nice big poop cleaning party. Unfortunately I was the only guest and Zach was my host. Also, I contemplated taking pictures of the big mess for all your viewing pleasure, but then I realized I"m not Anne and a couple of you are pregnant and though it is your second, you still most likely don't want to see someone else's kids poop. Heck I don't even like to see my own kids! This definitely will be filed in the Joys of Motherhood file! And for those who are wondering, I did turn the TV off today and this poop incident would have still happened even if I weren't watching TV and rocking Brandon. So really it's no ones fault, but the toilet's for being just a little to tall still.

That's crappy, literally :) We had a poop incident too today. Not as bad though. I hate cleaning up poop, that and vomit. You love those you serve right? I remember you always saying that :)

Haha! How did I know you would refer to the infamous Anne (ezra) poop picture? I am so not looking forward to PTing Ez. IT just seems so much easier to let him do it in his diaper.

that makes me laugh about him wanting to punish you for leaving the tv on. I wonder where he got that. Does Tyler do that to him?

sad about the poop thing. I know I wish the toilets were adjustable. that would be cool. At least he was trying to clean up his mess.

cute kid :)
