Flu Season

I went to get my Flu Shot today! I'd rather fork over the money than be sick in bed at my parents house. Yes, we live in our own apartment, but I know I'd be there so they could take care of Zach. And not that I don't love my parents house...the break actually sounds kinda nice...but heaven forbid I feel that terrible. Anyways, I sat Zach on my lap when I was in there chair so that I could put his shoe back on, the one that always falls off. I noticed how tight his leg was like he was about to freak out and I looked up and saw that he was watching the lady prepare everything for my shot. I had to quickly assure him that it was Mommy's turn and he didn't have to worry. I had to say it at least twice, but he stood there watching the lady roll up my sleeve and started to have a little relief. As his frown turns to somewhat of a smile I am whispering to the lady, "he doesn't realize that it'll unfortunately be his turn soon." The last time he even got a shot was a year ago. However, I did sit there like a champion with a smile on my face the whole time trying to teach him that a shot isn't that bad. I did think of my best friend Deanna though wondering how it'll be when she's a mother. She hates shots with the worst of them. Then I thought some more and figured she would rather be laying in bed sick than having someone poke at her arm. I'll take care of you and your baby if you move to Houston!!! (Note: this is not an anouncement. Although I did find out one of my other friends from college is pregnant again...Congrats, Sarah!!)

I'm glad the blog finally came up. I've had issues with it showing anything for the week.

We need to go back soon to the museum. I really felt short changed that day. I was having more fun than the kids.

Sorry Zach exhibits sensory overload with his hands. He certainly didn't get that from his mom who was "little Ms. destructive" when you were so tiny so sweet. You would have found someway to destroy the individual grains of sand if you'd had the chance.

Is Deanna going to move to Houston? That would be nice. She can just come stay with me if she gets sick with the flu. I'll take care of her little one if she happens to have one then.

Looking forward to our time together this week.

Love ya,
mom

You're right! I'd almost rather have the flu then get a shot! Thanks for being willing to take care of me :)
