I'm still alive

Last week Zach and I got to go spend the night at Grandma and Papa's house. The first day we got there we headed out to the airport so Zach and Jaeden could watch the planes take off. It was great! We were right at the gates of the runway. I kept waiting for someone to come and tell us we were too close since my mom proceeded through some road closed signs to get us there. However, she insisted on having the best seats for her grandbabies. The boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We had a picnic in the back of my mom's CRV. I told my mom I was gonna let loose that day and not worry about Zach making a mess with his cupcake. Of course she exclaimed, "Yeah, because it's in my car!" I hate to admit she was right, but every other time I worry she tells me she'll clean it up! After watching the airplanes we went to the actual airport to ride the train on the bottom level. That's the nice thing about living in a big city, the airport has a train to take you from terminal to terminal. When Jess and I were kids it was the second biggest highlight about going to the airport. The biggest being picking up my sister Jackie. We were normally at the airport for that reason. My parents generally allowed us to ride the train, but I remember sometimes we didn't have enough time. I don't however EVER remember going to the airport JUST to ride the train. I guess it pays to be the grandchild. My grandma was always good to me so now it's Zach's turn. We did have lots of fun. All Zach could talk about was going to the airport to watch the planes take off. The next day when we woke up he asked if we were going to the airport. We didn't do that, but we did take him to the mall to go play. He really enjoys playing at the Woodlands Mall more than at Willowbrook, which is the mall closer to where we live. After the boys woke up from their naps my mom insisted on running over to the Children's museum before it closed. Even though we were there for only a short time Zach still had a lot of fun. It was nice to go spend some extra time over at Grandma's house and Papa's house as Zach calls it. Especially because Papa cooks us a delicious meal! As I told them dinner is the highlight of my trip! All and all we survived even though I don't think Zach ate anything, but doughnuts the second day we were there. Every time I turned around he seemed to be sitting at the table with a doughnut in front of him. When we got home on Friday he expected to get the same. Luckily, he's off the full day of doughnuts routine.
