Sputnik

So, I have lots of other things I want to post like our trip to NASA on Monday, but even though it's spring break I feel like I have a lot to get done around my house and other things. I will post about more later.

Today I took Zachary to the library, as it is our day to go, and he had a lot of fun. They had an Easter egg hunt and made baskets as the craft before hand. They were brown paper bags with pipe cleaner handles. Very cute of course. After that was all done we picked out some books and headed over to the space transportation section. Of course Zachary is very into rockets, the shuttle and anything having to do with space. He wanted to read about satellites and I found a book on Sputnik so we read that one. I was amazed at how it held is attention even though some of the information in it may have been a little over his head, but he was still very interested. The best part however was when they were describing Sputnik to be shaped like a beach ball. As Zach was sitting on my lap he turns around and says "Mom, you have two beach balls in you." He looks down and points to his chest and says, "I don't have beach balls. Why don't I have beach balls like you?" I explain simply, "That's just one of the differences between men and women." Oh the way the mind of a child works.

Ha! He cracks me up. I like that he said IN you. I thought for a second that he meant the baby.

are you serious! I too thought he meant twins inside of you or something. Zach says the funniest things...I bet the gears in his brain are moving a million miles a minute. Did he say that comment in front of anyone else besides you? Because I think I would have died if anyone else heard!

LOL, That is really cute!! don't you love it when kids say stuff like that in public, my girls like to pinch my "boobies" at the store or at peoples houses, I don't know why, I blame it on Paul.
