No more monkeys jumping on the couch!!

Lately Zach has become more interested in acting like a little monkey. He enjoys reminding me that he's climbing when he's doing such great feats. And maybe he's practicing since that's what he will be for Halloween. However, I wish he would lean more towards making monkey noises, as opposed to climbing on the arm of the couch and jumping into the couch. Heaven forbid he jump onto the floor...he's not that stupid, yet. Also, we would be rushing to the hospital because Mom would be laying on the floor next to him having a heart attack. With that being said, I was getting more and more nervous with each dive into the somewhat cushiony couch. To take away all suspense nothing bad happened, I put an end to the jumping before bad had a chance to visit us. I firmly stated, "Zachary no more jumping into the couch. That was your last time and I don't want to see you do it again." I was unsure whether or not he would abide by my demands, but I was pretty sure he got the picture. After 10 minutes I hadn't even realized that he had actually obeyed my wishes. The only reason why it dawned on me that he had stopped climbing and jumping was because he stood at the arm of the couch ready to climb up and stated to me, "Mommy, I wanna do it again!" At least he asked me, but of course there was a reason why I told him to stop so I had to persist and tell him "no more!" I guess he's a pretty good kid after all because he didn't do it again.
