A Manly Man's Weekend
We have had quite the testosterone filled weekend. It all began on Saturday morning when we headed downtown to go to the Houston Auto Show. Zachary definitely enjoyed himself as did Tyler of course. I was more along for the ride. It is always fun to see the new concept cars though. Zach had fun getting behind the wheel of a lot of cars and he even wanted to climb in the back seat. I think he enjoyed sitting in the back without a car seat. A lot of times he tries to sit on the other side where his car seat isn't thinking he'll be fine with just a seat belt. Besides all of the cars, Zachary really enjoyed the kids zone. He got a snake painted on his arm by Sunshine the clown. She was a cute and friendly clown. He also won a small blue air plane at a bean bag toss. He did a wonderful job dropping the bean bags right in the hole. He also got to color a cool sports car and he used power tools for the first time. He got to unscrew lug nuts off of a tire with one of those air compressor drill like things. As you can see I'm really not that savvy when it comes to car mechanic tools. He also got to bounce like a crazy man in one of those inflatables, it had a huge monster truck on the top. We collected many pamphlets from the different car manufacturers and that has become Zachary's new choice of reading material. Now my two boys are sitting next to each other on the couch eating chips and watching the Super Bowl. They are having their very own Super Bowl Party. Zachary always enjoys watching football although it doesn't last for more than 5 to 10 minutes. I think he just likes it because he knows his daddy does. It's something they bond over and anything daddy likes Zachary seems to like too. We have had quite a weekend filled manly activities. I'm surprised that we haven't been reduced to speaking only in grunts and adjusting or scratching in unnecessary places that I am told are necessary sometimes.
