This is kinda a random posting just a mix of stories I guess. Today while we were grocery shopping I stood at the pudding thinking Zachary might like some since it's been a while since we've had it in our fridge. I'm looking at the different chocolate varieties and of course he wants the pink one. I keep looking and I see some jello, but he knew what he was talking about and he wanted the pink one. I finally spotted the strawberries and cream pudding cup and he was then happy. Zachary has two favorite colors pink and brown. I know few boys have pink as their favorite color, but he really does love it. However, his favorite crayon choice is usually brown, but he has seemed to be wanting the pink crayon in nursery too. As much as Zachary loves chocolate and he really likes the color brown it still makes me laugh that he had to have the pink pudding.
This next story is about the difficulty of the English language. It's amazing how many rules we have and how we all end up learning them (for the most part, i.e. most people use funner as opposed to more fun, but this isn't an English lesson). Lately Zachary will say, "That's mines." Anytime he uses the word mine he adds an s to it. I think it's so cute and I love to hear him say it, but after hearing Tyler try to teach him how we say it correctly, I have tried to teach him too. It's one of my biggest pet peeves to hear other people teach Zach things that aren't how you say them correctly or adult-ly. I know of people who agree with me on that sentiment that still say things in a crazy fashion and he repeats it. Because he hears them say it, he thinks it something to say. Drives me nuts!!! I have always repeated what he is attempting to say with the correct pronunciation of the word so that he would learn how to speak correctly and maturely. I did however, get caught away in the cuteness of him saying, "It's mines." I totally get why he says it. Because we would say, "Is that yours?" So, he is adding the possession s to the word mine as well.

Your momma isn't making up stories for your stories. You truly do love the color brown. That is always the first color you grab for when you want to color or draw at grandma's house.
LOve you Zach, Grandma
