No Big Boys Here.

Zach's been sick for a while now. I took him into the doctor and she switched his allergy medication so hopefully we won't have to fight what we've been fighting anymore. The other night I was attempting to get Zach to blow his nose, but for some reason he just doesn't do it for me. I know he has blown it before, but he can be defiant quite often. In trying to encourage some blowing I told him, Jaeden can blow his nose and he's smaller than you. Zach's response is, "Mom, Jaeden is a big boy. I'm more like Madeline." Madeline is his cousin that's 18 months old. He's known her as the baby for the longest now. Then a week or so later we were heading out to the Woodlands to hang out with Grandma Junie, Jess and the boys. Zach asks me, "Mom is Jayce going to be there?" I told him yes, he will be there. Zach finishes with, "Jayce and I are alike. We're both babies." And as we were on our way out there I came across the Bad Boys, Bad Boys Whatcha gonna do song on the radio. Of course Zach enjoyed it and that reminded me of how some things are so old to us, but they are still new to him. While the song is playing he decides to tell me that he's not a boy yet, but when he gets bigger, then he will be a boy and they will be singing this song about him. Well, hopefully they will never be singing THIS song about him. Could you imagine me being able to say, "Did you see my son on Cops last night?"

That's awesome. He is getting quite the personality isn't he?

Jill,
Although you told me about this perception Zachary has recently developed about himself, I still laughed again so much reading about it.
Hope you feel better, little baby. As I tell Zachary often, no matter how big you ever get, you always be my little baby.
Love ya,
Mom
