Just to update you on what has been going on around here.
We'll start with Tyler: I guess you can say that he has finally become a man. We purchased our first lawn mower this past weekend and Tyler got to put it to good use Saturday night! Zach proudly helped his dad by pushing his toy lawn mower. He too had to fill his up with gas (dirt and mulch) and made a point to ask us for a toy gas can so he can do it more accurately next time. I have to say Zach helped because anytime I mention Tyler having mowed the lawn Zach always pipes up, "And me too!!" We had stored Ty's brother's lawn mower for the first year we lived here and he was kind enough to let us use it. Also, for Ty's birthday his parents bought him a weed whacker. So, he is working his way to being manly. Each time he gets a new manly tool I think he feels a little bit more like a man. It started when he got an electric drill/screwdriver around Christmas. I hate that thing, but it is one of his prized possessions. Any chance he gets to use it he makes sure to have it in his hand. The other day I hung a shelf on the wall and I was proud to use the one we bought when we first got married. A small $10 one with hardly any power. The other one has too much power for me which of course is why Ty likes it. There are a few other things on his list that he wants to add to his garage. I guess then he will be complete. (Of course a Jeep is one of the things he WANTS to add, but we all know how that's gonna turn out...too bad we are only having 2 kids.) And also, Ty is all to close to a child hence he is making an attempt to become more like a man. There's a reason every woman counts their husband as one of their children. Tyler breaks more rules in our house than Zach does. Granted he pays for the house, but seriously he trys to teach our child bad habits when it comes to playing with toys. i.e. throwing balls over the banister at me while I sat on the couch. Zachary thought it was the best idea ever. Tyler did too, but me, not so much. I'm in for a rude awakening with three little boys in my house!
Me: I've been busy "nesting." The baby's room is far from ready, but I've let that be the least of my worries. Ty still needs to paint the pretty little girls room blue. The ONLY reason he wanted a girl was so that he wouldn't have to paint it! Yesterday I reorganized our closet which was in desperate need. It was a total wreck and now when I walk past it I wonder if it is really my closet or not. I also worked on getting stains out of the shirts that I keep in a bucket in my laundry room. I'm not very good at getting them out so I usually just throw the shirts to the side and the day has finally come that I always planned for. Even though some of the shirts have been in there for a year. I'm trying to get rid of things we don't need and clean out. It all works since it is technically "spring cleaning". There are lots of things I always want to get done and hopefully I'll accomplish most of it before my little bambino comes. Which I have a total of 5 1/2 weeks left. I'm hoping for 4 1/2 though. On the cleaning note I just wanted to say isn't it frustrating that your house can be completely clean and then you turn around and say what happened in here?!?! I always have to remind myself that we live here and that's what happened, but some days I just feel like it's getting old!
Zachary: He is my same sweet little troublemaker. He's been cracking me up with the slang he's been using correctly. The other day Tyler put Zachary's shoes on and Zach kept pulling on his shoe like there was a problem. Tyler asked him what was wrong and Zachary replied with "My shoe is killin' my foot." It might've been funnier in the moment, but to hear him use the expression made us laugh. Although we are still struggling with understanding the word die. I thought we had it down because the other day he got to bring home a jar of lady bugs to release in the garden. We housed them for two days before doing so as he was very attached to them. There was a raisin soaked in water in the jar for the ladybugs feeding pleasure. I had no idea the ate such food. His favorite thing was to run around the house with them and claim they were going on a roller coaster ride. I felt bad for the poor creatures as they are the only bug that I actually like. I kept telling him that they were going to die if he was too rough with them. He seemed to understand me when we spoke about it. However, today after I finished reading him his books before quite time I told him it was time for me to leave. He then asked me if I were dead. I told him I'm pretty sure I'm still alive. My other favorite thing of late, just so I don't forget, is when it's time for me to finish tucking him in and he tries to procrastinate bed time a little bit longer . I'll ask him for a kiss and he'll say "Yeah because you didn't give me one the other night." He knows I'll give him extra kisses when he says that. The first time he said it to me I thought that I might've somehow only hugged him, but when I heard it the second time I knew it was just a ploy to make mom feel guilty. The guilt came the first time, the joy of getting to kiss all over my baby boy came the second time. He doesn't let very many people hug or kiss him, even me a lot of the time, so if he'll let me kiss him just to prolong me leaving I'll take it! Below is a picture of Zach with his ladybugs! I just had to capture it.

Isn't language development phenomenal? I totally love how kids learn language especially using expressions such as "it's killing my foot". There's a definition for that type of expression, but it escapes presently.
Hugs and kisses all over Zachary.

First of all congrats to Tyler for becoming a man. I suppose Charles has a little while still to achieve manhood since we won't be purchasing a lawn mower for quite some time.
I was laughing out loud at Zach's comments: "killin my foot" and "are you dead"? What a hilarious little boy, I love that kid!
can't believe you only have 5 weeks to go. Was Zach early? I hear that the second ones comes earlier (or at least faster) so good luck with L & D. Very excited for you!!!
