That New Kids on the Block is reuniting?!?! And I think I finally donated my NKOTB socks last year. (Seriously, Tyler encouraged me to give them away.) Now I'm regretting it just a bit. And if I'm not mistaken I think it was my Aunt Carla that gave them to me. She probably doesn't remember, but those things were like gold to me! I'm sure I could dig through my stuff at home and locate my Jordan Knight t-shirt along with my NKOTB night gown. They were the first concert I ever attended. We had a couple of posters hanging in our game room. One of them came from McDonald's. And I owned a couple of their tapes including the Hangin' Tough in concert video. Was that not the best video?!? I know I'm not the only one who owned it! One of my favorite Christmas memories is walking into my parents bedroom and my dad is laying on the bed looking at some papers, but he is listening to the New Kids Christmas tape. He always loved surprising us by giving us things in unique ways! Of course he knew I wanted it, but he gave it to me a few weeks early so that I could enjoy it during the season. So, I have a lot of childhood memories involving good old New Kids, but that's just it they are OLD. Not like teenage heart throbs anymore. I really find the reunion quite hilarious, but I just had to share because it will be interesting to watch it all unfold. I'm totally setting my DVR to record the Today show on Fri. April 4th where they will supposedly be on. Here's the article on MSN if any of you are interested in checking it out!!
Nothing is going on over here otherwise. I have 8 1/2 weeks left and I will start counting on each blog. I'm ready for the baby to arrive and I'm done with being pregnant. The latest in Zach's life is that he LOVES Johnny Cash. We heard Ring of Fire on the radio and he hasn't stopped singing it since and that was a week and a half ago. I played it for him on the computer when we got home and upon his Dad's arrival home from work I wish I had a video of Zach telling Tyler "Mom's gonna play JOHNNY CASH." The song is catchy, but I think his favorite part is that he sings about fire. The best thing about listening to an oldies radio station whether it be oldies rock or "classic" country as we listen to a lot is that every song is new to Zach. It's a lot of fun to have him get excited about hits from ages ago including Queen's We Will Rock You. It makes listening to the radio a lot more fun with him in the back seat, especially since he LOVES music so much. See we don't JUST listen to country...just MOST of the time. Probably because I grew up listening to so many of the country songs that we hear that I like Zach to grow up listening to them too. I feel like a kid when I hear certain songs that my dad ALWAYS sang. I'd name 'em, but I have a feeling that the only one who would know what songs I'm talking about is my sister because none of my friends ever listened to country whether it be old or new. Unless it's the "Cars" song. (That was for you Karin.) Okay I'm done and now I was just rambling.

When I first read your post i totally thought it was an April Fools joke! Ha! That's hillarious. I had a T-shirt too and 1 or 2 of their tapes. But, now I cringe when I hear their music. And I love that Zach likes Johnny Cash.
Dude, it's not a joke! I read it on MSN that they are reuniting too! I used to have a NKOTB sleeping bag, it was yellow with pics of all the boys and the inside was a hot pink flannel. I remember fantasizing out being Joey's girlfriend. Remember Danny? My 6th grade friends and I thought he had a monkey face. Good memories! And what about Donnie and his issues....I can't believe I have such a vivid memory of that band. Great post.
I guess I am the only one in the world that didn't like NKOB(?) I had older brothers that wold have hurt me badly if i listened to "boy band" stuff... even thought my older and very tough brother loves boy bands now (gay). Well I must say that I fell very left out on this NKOB reunion excitiment :( But hey I know my Hendrix and The Doors and Led Zepplin and The Steve Miller Band and well, all that great old music. I totally love that Zach likes Johnny Cash that is too good! You should get Zach a Cyprus Hill CD!! But where coulod find one of those???? The side of the raod???
Wow it's so pretty!!! I like the new background!
