Spring Performance

Okay, I'm sure I have the ability to figure out how to post a video after many hours of sitting at this computer, but honestly I have absolutely NO desire so still don't expect any videos from me anytime soon. If ever a video were to be shared however, I would pick this one, but as I said, NO desire. Today Zachary and his class did a spring performance at school. We all got to go and watch them sing lots of songs about bugs. It was great and as I expected Zach just stared for a lot of it and sang when he felt like it. But the best part had to be the beginning. I was horrified of course, but considered it a great story and something worth remembering to embarrass him for the rest of his life. Zach has really bad allergies which equals lots of boogers. After walking out onto the "stage" he picked one of those pesky things that surely was annoying him and he spent the first three songs focused on trying to get the darn thing off of his finger. I found it frustrating at the beginning because of course I was there to watch my son sing, NOT do what I am capable of seeing him do at home. Generally I'm able to offer him a kleenex, but it wasn't really an opportune time to pop in and say, "do you need a kleenex?" Of course he couldn't ask for one since he was front and center and he knew he was supposed to be singing too. I'm definitely thinking at least I've taught him to keep them out of his mouth! He finally bent down and wiped it on the floor and I'm thinking oh geez I'm not sure if that's such great behavior either, but at least he was able to begin singing from that point forward. Now we'll have to work on having a kleenex in order to clean your nose at all times. No free for alls with the fingers. And of course I have the entire thing captured on home video to remember for all time.

I'm sure he will LOVE you to play that when he brings girls over! That age is funny when they think they are invisible or something.
